Every 4 years or 50,000 miles, the steering gear bolts (W208 CLK and W202 C-class) are supposed to be retorqued. The spec is 70 Nm / 51 foot pounds. The bolts are accessed by removing the driver's side/front wheel. At that point, the three bolts are staring at you (see the photo on the left). Just take a torque wrench and tighten them.
