Occasionally I receive email asking why I recommend OEM Mercedes-Benz brake parts. Admittedly, factory pads create a fair amount of dust. In addition, there may be cheaper rotors available. However, I use factory parts because a stock 2002 CLK430 only requires two feet longer to stop from 60 MPH than a 2004 Porsche 911 GT3.

The W202 brake specs can be found here.
